The Home visitation programme – Asiasiga is a project that is restricted to availability of specific funding.
Central to the delivery is acknowledgment of the presence and need to value our Pacific Older People who are homebound.
The programme is delivered by TOA Pacific staff and trained volunteers, who visit Pacific Older People in the community who are bedridden or unable to leave their homes.
TOA Pacific honours and treasures our older people and carers in the community through meeting at the home, and providing social contact and companionship.
Intended outcomes for families may range from referrals to NASC’s, (Needs assessment and service coordination through the local District Health Board) to informing them of their rights or entitlements.
